PSD2, what is it?
This directive opens up the payments market by allowing other banks and third parties (non-banks) to access and initiate payments from your payment account data, with your express consent.
Your benefits
This directive enables you to aggregate, i.e. to group together all your payment accounts held with Belfius and other banks in the same application (BelfiusWeb or BelfiusWeb App). You have the benefit of a centralised and multi-bank view through a single, perfectly secure application.
Phased-in availability
The possibility of centralising accounts held with different banks will be phased in. At this stage, it is possible to add a KBC account in BelfiusWeb (and vice versa) for BelfiusWeb users connecting with a Belfius card.
How do you aggregate an external account in BelfiusWeb?
Step 1
Your master user gives you the authorisation to activate the PSD2 services. How? Directly in BelfiusWeb via the “Access Management” module or by calling his/her contact.
Step 2
As a BelfiusWeb user, you can then request the addition of an external account from your “Account Overview” in BelfiusWeb.
NB: it is necessary:
- for you to be a proxy on the payment account in question,
- the account in question to be accessible in an electronic channel of the other bank (e. g. the KBC account must be available in KBC Business Dashboard).
How do you aggregate a Belfius account with another bank or a third party (non-bank)?
The entity manager must give authorisation to activate the PSD2 services. How? By calling his/her contact where he can sign the necessary proxies.
As a BelfiusWeb user, you can then request the addition of a Belfius account from the other bank's or third party's digital application.
NB: it is necessary:
- for you to be a proxy on the payment account in question,
- and for the Belfius account to be accessible in BelfiusWeb.
